During the many lockdowns in 2020 and as the feeling of suspension was looming across social life, I asked my visitors (when we had a chance to have visits) if you would have been a machine what would you be? 

"Humans are spiritual automatons" 

From that question, we started making gestural/theatrical poses, and out of that the Automaton series emerges
